Patting myself on the back

Here we all are on Christmas Eve in our new pajamas. I'm patting myself on the back because I made all the pajama pants! Yep, me who doesn't sew much! Yay! I also managed to make a Christmas stocking for Matthew -- I made stockings for the rest of us a few years back, so I was a little worried about trying to figure out the pattern again (the stocking is lined, has piping around the edges, has batting between the layers, and has a snowman design on the front) but everything went smoothly and it was wonderful to hang his stocking up alongside all the others for the month. I also managed to get stocking ornaments painted and put on the tree for Matthew, Cole, and Jordan. Many thanks to Kathleen for cutting the wood and sending the tiny little pieces to me to paint and put together. All the boys have a wooden stocking ornament now -- feels good.

Woo woo!! Major pat on the back for you!! I was thinking really hard about making PJ pants this year for Christmas, but it didn't happen. Alan even went out and tried to just buy some on Christmas Eve when he was doing the rest of the shopping and everything was cleaned out. I also thought about making stockings instead of the crappy cheap dollar store ones we have hanging up...alas, my ambitions didn't stretch that far either. I'm glad you got all yours done, especially the ornaments.

Shara,
I have really enjoyed your blog and the photos of your family. You are very ambitious and I am wondering where you have the time with all else you do?????

The pajama pants you made are very cute! You guys look good all matching and wearing smiles :)... most of you that is haha!! I can't believe you got all that done, all I had to do this year was make Alexas stocking to match mine and bradys but that never happened. I got it all cut out and ready to be sewn together but I was too lazy to find a place to put her name on it so cutting it out was as far as it got. Way to get things done!! :)

Way to go, Shara! We do the matching jammies and home made stockings too, only this year we opted for store bought jammies which was no small feat considering the size range and need for unisex design. I think I'll follow your example next year!
