holy bowls of cereal!
oh.my.gosh. Last week & this week Smith's had certain Kellogg's cereal on sale for $1 a box -- you had to buy in quantities of 10 to get that price. Crispix, Raisin Bran, & Rice Krispies (normal size boxes) for a $1? Those are some of our favorites! Stock up time!! I went crazy-- um, I think I bought 40 boxes of cereal! Hate to admit it, but we eat cold cereal for breakfast about 4 or 5 times a week. I bought this many boxes thinking that it would be a year's supply. I'm very curious to find out how long it lasts.

Lets see.....40 boxes for a family of 6 (okay so only 5 eat the cereal?) That would be about 8 boxes per person. 4-5 x's/week. My guess is it would last 2 months, three tops. Let us know when it runs out. (And no fair restocking while we are not looking.)
By they way....I wish I could have gotten in on that deal for my cereal lovin' family.
Now that you put it that way, I better go buy at least 40 mores boxes before the sale ends on Tuesday!! Actually, we supplement these cereals with oatmeal, cheerios, granola, Cracklin Oat Bran, and froot loops -- so maybe we'll get good mileage out of the existing 40. I'll have to remember to do a post when we eat the last box!
Where on earth did you PUT it all? I usually buy 10 at a time on those kinds of sales, but I find that we get sick of the same flavors so then the last couple of boxes tend to sit and rot for a while until we get un-sick of it again.
