sale crazy

Yesterday I had to supply 8 dozen cookies for Enrichment night. My RS president knew of a place up north where we could get Lofthouse cookies for $1 a box (there's 10 in a box). We took a field trip and came home loaded! My freezer is very well stocked -- I went a little overboard! Jacob had to have a box of key-lime frosted sugar cookies. Yuck! He's the only one that likes that variety around here. Ryan's favorite is the ordinary frosted sugar cookies. I think I like the snickerdoodles the best. The cookies aren't as tasty as Costco, but you can't beat the price or the variety if you need a bunch. Cookies anyone?

A couple weeks ago, Albertson's had a fabulous sale on Crispix. The price was excellent, plus every time you bought 7 boxes of cereal, you got 3 free gallons of milk. I stocked up. I went to the store 3 times. I have/had coupons for 9 free gallons of milk. So, doing a bit of math, you probably think I bought 21 boxes, right? Wrong, I bought a few more than 7 each trip. I learned from my last big cereal raid that the stockpile just doesn't last nearly as long as I always hope it will. The way Jared eats this stuff we've already put a huge dent in the stockpile. Teenage eating habits scare me -- and he's not even a teenager yet!
