rain, rain go away...

and don't come back till the groundwater level goes way way way down!! At 6:30 a.m. this morning we found ourselves on the roof of the house in the pouring rain trying to clean raingutters so the basement windowwell (Ryan's room) wouldn't flood. By 7:30 a.m. we were in a snowstorm and hooking up the pipe for the sump pump -- just in case. We've had so much rain lately that the groundwater is really high. We need some sunny and dry weather for a few days to get things under control. In the meantime, here's to hoping the basement stays dry!

I am sad for you. That sounds like a terrible way to start your day. I can't believe you even need a sump pump in UT! I hope you don't need it.
We had 87 degrees today. First day for the a/c to come on!

That sounds like no fun! We didn't get snow, but got a lot of rain! Hope you were able to stay dry through all of it.

Oi! Sure you don't want to move closer to us? We'll find you a home that doesn't require a sump pump to stay dry.
