suess day

Dr. Suess Day started off with green eggs and ham for breakfast with who has (hashbrowns).  Matthew isn't much of a hashbrown fan, but he sure does love his green eggs!  I think he ate three and then I had to stop him!
Dinner tonight was roast beast (roast beef), cat -in-the-hat cups (layered red jello and cream), Lorax trees (broccoli), one-fish-two-fish-red-fish-blue fish (rainbow goldfish crackers), and a baked potato (can't think of Suess related idea for this). All are the kids favorites.  I was going to make star-shaped biscuits (stars upon thars), but ran out of time. It's a fun tradition for our family to celebrate Suess Day, although unfortunately, I'm getting a little less creative in my meal plans. I'll have to try harder next year!

Are you kidding me???? What a fun tradition, Shara! Did you remember pie day, too? Kara and Seth did that one! I think I've got to quit thinking 'old' and get back into the fun of unique days. Dr. Suess day sounds like a bunch of fun - eating good stuff usually is!
