We took a little trip to Craters of the Moon in Idaho. It sure is a long way from civilization! It was a fun day trip and we had fun exploring. There are lots of really interesting lava formations.
Every once in awhile during our explorations, we'd come across a little "Matthew Spot" -- that's the term we use when there's a little cave or hole that is only the size for Matthew!
At one stop in the park there was this ginormous hill of little tiny lava pebbles. We hiked up to the top...
and had a great view of the park! All the boys decided to take a break on the rocks. Matthew is pretty hard to find in the picture -- he's laying down on a rock just to the left of Jared.
This might be how it feels to be on top of the world!
