let me introduce you to...

Meet my nephew Josh and his wife, Nicola. We love these two. They are the kind of people you meet the first time and immediately love and enjoy being around. Our family would be empty without them. Obviously, they are hoping to adopt. They will be awesome parents, we have no doubt. The hard part is finding the baby that needs to join their family. You can learn all about them HERE! and you can pass this link on to others you know as well. We want to help them begin their family. You can also check out their blog.

Oh wow. There's about a million different emotions that came with this one!

I wish them all the best in their endeavors!!! It is a crazy and exhausting road. I'm assuming they're just starting out on their journey. Hopefully the two things they have going for them that we didn't will help them bunches in being successful: they are younger than we were when we started and they have no other children.

I've been down this road and know very well what it's like. During our journey to find our kids, we worked with MANY, MANY different agencies and looked at many, many different options. Those included 2.5 years with LDSFS, exploring and exhausting ALL possible domestic options, and then finally turning to international adoption.

Feel free to pass my personal contact info on to them. I'd leave a comment on their blog, but at this point, doing so would leave an open link to my blog, which at this point, would most likely scare them more than help them (so probably don't share it quite yet.) I would, however, be more than happy to talk with them, either by email or phone, about what options are out there other than LDSFS (many of which can be done simultaneously with LDSFS.) Some are good options I would recommend, others I can warn them heavily about so they don't end up in some of the same situations we did...or at least be a lot better prepared for them than we were.

What I do know for sure, though, is that no matter how it happens, Heavenly Father knows how to organize families. He knows when and where their children are and how it's all supposed to work out. Trusting the process and watching it all work out is a completely life changing experience!
