matthew has a birthday

 Happy Birthday Matthew!

Matthew woke up to find presents on the kitchen table.  Jared gave him a new soccer ball.

 Jacob gave him some gummy bears -- one of his favorite treats!

 He got a new sweatshirt and waterbottle from me & Mark.

 Ryan gave him his old PSP set.

 After presents, we got the day started with a good birthday breakfast -- eggs, sausage and orange juice -- per Matthew's request.

 Then it was off to school!

 G&G Vawdrey came to visit after school.  Matthew opened a few more presents --a new bike helmet and goalie gloves from G&G Vawdrey, and a...

  new lego set from me & Mark.

 And last but not least, from me & Mark -- a new soccer goal!

 We got the goal set up, Matthew tried on his goalie gloves, picked up the soccer ball and declared it was game time!

 Soccer is best played outside in the yard.

 All the boys had fun trying out the new equipment during a little soccer game.

 After the soccer game, G&G Vawdrey took us out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse to celebrate.  Yum!

 After a big dinner, we were almost too full for cake, but we made room and ate cake anyway!  Matthew requested a chocolate Captain America cake.  He's about to blow out those seven candles!

Happy Birthday, Matthew!  We love you so much!
