family photo shoot

We asked Heidi to do a family photo shoot yesterday. We took a bazillion pictures (literally) and managed to come up with a few good ones -- these are not them. These are a few of the almost, but not quite. I'll post the good one(s) when I decide which I like best. In the meantime, enjoy our photos that will not make it to the top of the mantle:
Just the two of us because we don't have one of these shots: King of goofy faces:
Mr. I-can't-sit-still-for-more-than-a-tenth-of-a-second:
Mr. All-grown-up-and-this-is-getting-painful:
Mr. I've-got-a-great-smile-but-I'm-not-going-to-look-at-the-camera:
and finally, here we all are together and sitting still. Is it too much to ask for everyone to smile and look at the camera in the same split second it takes to snap a photo? Apparently, YES!!
Many thanks to Heidi for her patience and to Al for the goofy jokes that finally got Ryan to smile (for real).

Love the photos. You have such a cute little family! Why not put these on the mantel? This is what they're really like, isn't it?

Ha ha ha!! And think of all the ones I deleted before you even saw them...what about Matthew's stick??

I sent you a link to the picasa album of the ones I edited. There were several of you and Mark that I thought turned out well, but I only messed with two of them. I can dink around more if you want, though you and I both know that it's the blind leading the blind. I feel like a kindergartner at this :).
